Think that plain weave is all you can do on a rigid-heddle loom? Meet the pick-up stick! With this simple tool you can create patterns galore. Learn how to make weft and warp floats and how to combine them. In this class you will weave a scarf that highlights five fun pick-up patterns. As with all of Liz's classes, you aren't just learning how to make a beautiful object, you are learning the fundamentals to weaving well. Pre-warped loom required. No materials fee. Warping instruction and materials list provided at the time of registration.

Instructor Bio: LIZ GIPSON Yarncraft has occupied much of Liz's life She is the author of the newly revised and updated Weaving Made Easy and has four instructional videos on rigid heddle weaving published by Interweave. Liz writes articles for many popular fiber-related magazines, website and blogs, host popular online weave-alongs, and teaches workshops throughout the country. In 2013, the launched Yarnworker, a source for rigid heddle know-how and inspiration. Her latest book Handwoven Home was released in the Spring of 2017.
