Swatching For Weavers

Have you had an idea, headed to the loom, and then halfway through through your brilliant idea you think, “oh this isn’t what I had in mind at all”. Swatching allows you to get to that knowledge quicker. By weaving a small swatch you can see if a given yarn will substitute well for another, if you like your color choices, or if your sett choice is right. Swatching allows you to try multiple options for finishing including how you wash the fabric and finish the edges. Weavers will learn why to swatch, techniques for swatching, and weave at least one swatch in class.  $20 material fee includes use of the loom, handouts, and some yarn.  Students are encouraged to bring their own yarns as well.
