StevenBe: Be Basics: Short Rows

If you've ever admires any of the fabulous shawls that use short rows to create sweeping curves of color or texture but felt intimidated by the technique, this workshop is for you!  Steven will make you comfortable with the basics of short rows with his signature Lazy Short Rows in a cowl pattern that will give you plenty of practice!


Special Bonus - If you sign up for this class AND StevenBe's Ponchini class, the price is $125 for both classes (a savings of $25).  If you are registering on-line, you will be charged the full amount ($150) but $25 will be refunded to you when you come into the shop

What to Bring in Your Knitting Bag:

• 430-500 yards of yarn total including a fingering weight and a lace weight each in different fibers like mohair and silk to be combined into a heavier weight.  Yarns should be chosen and wound prior to class so we can begin immediately.  More yarns can be added during class.  Choose a color palette when bringing your stash to make it cohesive.  SHOP WILL BE OPEN AT 9A.M. SO THAT YOU CAN PICK OUT YARN.
• A variety of needle sizes from US 6 to US 10 will be needed, so bring a good selection (we recommend an interchangeable set).
• A notebook and pen or pencil for taking copious notes.
• Steven's goodie bag of most preferred notions, including stitch markers, tapestry needle , tape measure and scissors.
• A work-in-progress or finished project for show and tell (the desire to be admired is not required -- but it is recommended!)
