Alta Moda Cashmere Shawl or Scarf Class with Barry Klein

Renowned knitwear designer Barry Klein will teach you how to make a beautiful shawl or gorgeous scarf using Alta Moda Cashmere Fine from Lana Grossa in their new Trendsetter Treasures collection. This incredible yarn is a blend of light Merino, Cashmere and Polyamide. The fibers are blended together and chained giving 350 yards to each 50 gram skein. Once you get your hands on it you will not want to use anything else.

The scarf option uses the Trendsetter Treasures collection, a new and unique collection of graphic patterns only for Trendsetter Yarns not available for sale online. In this design Barry selected one print color and one solid accent color. These two yarns are worked in alternating two and one row stripes so you'll learn how to make your stitches move from side to side. At the same time, there's a beautiful fake cable design that frames each colorful box. This scarf is a graphic masterpiece and is really fun to make. The pattern takes a total of 3 or 5 skeins depending on the size you choose to do.

The shawl option (seen in image below) is worked with 2 diverse print colors in stripes that alternate from 4 rows to 2 rows of each color to create a center V shape. Stitches are picked up along side edges and both shades are worked in 2 rows of each to create the balance of the shawl. Soft, light and only 4 or 6 skeins depending on the size you choose.
