Taimi
Taimi is the Finnish for Seedling. This circular wrap can be worked in two sizes: a wider neck warmer cowl or a longer infinity scarf that can be worn loosely around the neck as a cowl or worn around the shoulders as a light cover up for warm spring and summer evenings. Reminiscent of growing shoots, the sinuous lace is based on a traditional pattern in which the lace stitches are worked on both sides. However, to make this project a beginner lace knitter friendly, the wrap is worked circularly and all the patterning is done only on the right side. This, along with the short repeat, makes the lace very easy to work and quick to memorize. The lace can be embellished with glass beads which add some sparkle and texture the finished project.
