All Hedgehog Fibres yarns are hand dyed in small batches by Beata and her small group of custom dyers in Little Island, County Cork Ireland. Hedgehog Fibres Sock Yarn has great stitch definition. The perfect balance of soft and durable, the dye takes especially beautifully on this base. Colors shift beautifully from one to another. Randomly dyed to prevent striping or pooling, as much as possible, these yarns create variegated effect that looks good in plain stockinette or advanced stitch motifs. It is the ideal yarn for accessories, especially Stephen West designs for fingering weight yarns. It is fantastic for shawls, scarves, baby items, hats and more! It can also be held double for a DK project which makes a soft, supple fabric with even more variegation. This yarn is custom spun exclusively for Hedgehog Fibres.
